Installing and Upgrading Fax

This section provides conceptual information about installing and upgrading to Fax. Fax is not installed by default during Windows Server 2003 family setup, unless you are upgrading from a computer that already has a Windows operating system fax installed.

• For information about installing Fax, see Installing the Fax component.
• If there is a Windows operating system fax already installed on your computer, the upgrade to Windows Server 2003 family Fax is automatic. However, there are some upgrade scenarios that require user action. For more information about these particular upgrade scenarios, see the following upgrade topics:
